Our Approach

Introduction (Day 1)
You finally get to meet with the kids. First, you will introduce yourself and the program. You will show the kids what passion means and how you have nourished your passions through your own power and talents.

They will be answering the question: What does passion mean to you?

Understanding Trajectories
(Day 2)
You will show kids various careers they could achieve through various presentations from your volunteers. These presentations include what the job entails, certain notable figures, and passions some people have that ignite people into that career.

​They will be answering the question: What career best sparks your passion?

Draw Self Portraits
After the kids pick a career that would best suit them, the kids will be given Flat Stanleys to decorate as a self-portrait of them in that future career.

They will be answering the question: What will your future look like?

Shipping Flat Stanleys
The Flat Stanley's that the kids drew will then be shipped to a professional that matches the career they want. The professionals will then film a personalised, day in a life, show how they used their passion to reach their dream, and give some advice to these kids. Some Professionals will also choose to write a hand-written note to these kids.

Finale (Day 3)
Conduct a final watch party where the kids will see all of the professional's videos. The kids will then receive all of their Flat Stanley's back, a copy of their video, and any hand-written messages from the professionals.

Question: How do we make sure that these kids will come out of the sessions with our advice and hope?

Message to Power
(Day 3)
Finally, the kids will write a letter to power to help them materialize that they dont need the power to be powerful.
Question: How do we strip power's ability to hinder the growth of these kids?
